Every Hydro Spa Poseidonite™ shell is constructed of non-porous dimensionally stable, one piece, acrylic sheet. The cross linking of the molecules makes the shell surface very durable. The vacuum formed shell is coated with a proprietary combination of chopped fiberglass and resins that are hand rolled onto the rear of the shell. We are so confident that our Poseidonite™ shell is the best, we offer a lifetime warranty against shell leakage for as long as you own the spa.

Others may use ABS which is a high impact thermoplastic that may stain easily and does not have the structural strength to hold the weight of five thousand pounds of water and people. ABS shells are usually reinforced with a foam filled cabinet and may result in very expensive service calls when you get a leak. They are usually white in color with tile at the water line to deter stains

Plumbing

Manifold Plumbing System

Our manifold plumbing system is an engineering marvel. All of the water comes from the pump(s) and goes through the manifold(s) under equal water pressure to each and every jet. We use flexible hose and tension clamps instead of rigid tubing and blue glue for all of the manifold to jet connections. This makes field repair of Jets and manifolds a breeze.

Others use standard plumbing where the jets are set in series and this may result in unequal water pressure at the jets. All of the water is coming from the pump and then goes from one jet to the other until it gets to the last jet. The connections are typically made from rigid PVC and blue glue and due to fluctuation in water pressure there are many leak failures in this system.

Pumps

Our pumps produce high water volume at a lower pressure for a soothing, deep penetrating massage. Our pumps have a two-inch wet end and sweep ninety-degree turns for more water velocity and whisper quiet water delivery. All pumps are on rubberized motor mounts and bolt directly onto our Stay-Tuff spa base for vibration free operation.

One and a half inch PVC tubing and old fashioned plumbing routes will get you less water delivery to the jets. The pump is the heart of the spa so it is important to choose a pump mounted on a rubberized motor mount and not simply screwed into the wood floor of a spa.

Our interchangeable jet system allows you to control the flow of water pressure and the type of massage you will get at each and every seating area in the spa. This is a fantastic way to get the therapy that you need and refresh your hot tubbing experience.

Fixed high pressure jets may give you a stinging and itching type of massage and may not penetrate deep enough to allow you to get the relief you need. Avoid spas that have a large number of fixed jets so that you can change jets in your spa as your therapy needs change.

Uses the warm air to heat the water and power the jets Best for use in extreme Hot or Cold Climates	The Hydro Spa Arctic Heat™, tm system utilizes a reflective thermal barrier that is attached to the entire perimeter of the spa. Structural insulation covers the floor of the spa and supports the two inch pump tubing and shell base. All of the heat generated from the pump(s) during filtration and use is captured in the cabinet and used to power the jets and passively heat the water. Our system is up to 60% more efficient than full foam.	Full foam spas take in cold air from outside of the spa through the heat vent and introduce it into the water thereby reducing your water temperature and creating discomfort. The heat generated by the pump is vented to the outside and lost. Avoid Full foam spas they may cost more to operate and repair.
Spa Structural Support System	No weak spots What supports the water and people?	A spa full of water and people can weigh as much as 8000 lbs. Hydro Spa utilizes a network of supports molded into the Stay-Tuff™, spa base along with weather treated wood frame to provide the structural integrity that is required to make our spa system support the shell for the life of the spa. Since this is a uni-body style construction you get the benefit of knowing that a Hydro Spa will stand the test of time.	If your spa has just a wooden support system it may not stand the test of time. If internal supports go from the base of the seating area down to the bottom of the spa they could become prone to insect damage or rot.Full foam spas rely heavily on wood supports as a framework before they fill the entire cabinet inside with foam.
Cabinet	Maintenance free Premium Redwood Beautiful natural wood	Hydro Spa, is a very real looking maintenance free cabinet system. It is available in different colors and will match you décor perfectly. Cabinet has a lifetime warranty and will never need to be replaced. If you prefer natural wood our Premium Redwood will give you years of dependable service with a minimum of care.	Wooden cabinets need regular maintenance. If you want a wood cabinet be prepared to re-stain at least once or twice a year according to you your location. There are many types of synthetic materials available in the marketplace, look for a material that resists fading and has a realistic appearance.
Maintenance	Open Cabinet System Easy of access Fast repairs	All of our spas are designed with removable sidewall cabinets for maximum accessibility on all four sides. This makes maintenance and service easy and will save you lots of money as you enjoy your spa.	Full foam and foam core (foam with a hollow center) spas are very expensive to maintain. When you get a leak you may have to spend thousands to detect and repair the leak. During operation foam spas are a great place for rodents, insects and snakes to live. Avoid potential dangers and avoid full foam spas.

Since the entire base is a sealed unit it cannot rot out. We put in forklift molds and aeration ports to keep the bottom of the spa dry and odor free. We offer a lifetime warranty on the Stay-Tuff™, Base.	Having a strong base is fundamental for spa longevity. Many spas are produced without any bottom at all and will be very costly to operate because they cannot trap heat. If your budget allows choose a spa with a pressure treated or Plastic molded base. Spas with a foam bottom are an ideal place for insect and rodent infestation.

These user-friendly intuitive controls take the guesswork out of spa ownership and are designed for a lifetime of use in harsh climates.	Avoid spas with air controls or spas that do not display the hot tub temperature as a digital read out. Many spas are produced cheaply by using an inferior quality spa electronic pack. Unknown brand names or imported packs may not stand the test of time and may be very hard to replace if they break down.
Hot Tub cover	ASTM locking Safety Cover Tapered locking cover	Hydro Spa has created a Locking safety cover that has a 5” x 3” taper. This allows water to run off and snow to pile up without the fear of collapse. The cover is made from marine grade UV resistant vinyl and double stitching for durability. It can hold the weight of 275 lbs without collapsing and provides a maximum degree of safety with safety locks on both sides of unit.	Always select a ASTM manual locking safety cover to ensure the safety of you and your family. There are a lot of flimsy spa covers in the market. The cover is where you will loose most of the heat from the spa water. Invest in a quality cover with marine grade fabric. Many spas are sent out with inferior covers that do not last and cost you money in lack of efficiency.
